Her research and work, converging between cultural planning and interactive design, aim to produce a new approach to design (metadesign) focusing on dynamics of intersubjectivity, empathy, and relational embodiment.

She has lectured and published about her work, and led workshops, in several occasions. Recently, she was a speaker at ISEA2000 in Paris, and she organized a workshop on interaction and creativity at Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella.

She works as consultant applying her research in the field of artistic practices, cultural activities, and social services. She is currently employed as New Media Program Manager at Fitzcarraldo Foundation in Turin. Email: elisa.giaccardi@isiline.it.
