Arts & Sciences: Telluride 1979, organized by Richard Lowenberg, took place over ten days, with 20 invited participants, NEA support, and no cell or Internet connectivity, 45 years ago.

To commemorate that seminal program, Arts & Sciences: Telluride 2024 is being held during eight days this Summer, with a number of partnering organizations and the Leonardo LASER network.

Arts & Sciences: Telluride 2024 will include special programs, partners and participants in Telluride, including the Telluride Institute, Telluride Science Center and Wilkinson Public Library.  It will also feature a series of 12 LASER Zoom presentations and discussions over 8 days, with over 25 invited artists, scientists and inspiring, creative example-setters from around the world.

“The Nature of Information: Towards an Ecological Understanding of the Information Environment” is the program's core topic and theme.  In some of the many ways possible, LASER participants will offer insights and creative hints for ecologies of mind, informed actions and meaningful influence.
