Living species are disappearing. Others, artificial, seem to emerge. Some, mutants, settle. There are terrestrial species and others that are extraterrestrial: human and other than human in spaceships, robotic on other celestial bodies, in the solar system and beyond, and maybe even unknown species somewhere in this "elsewhere" that is the universe. The living and the artificial intertwine to draw a future that science fiction explores but of which a possibility is occuring. This LASER tells stories of species ...

> France Cadet (artist) // "Mutations" around the project Leçons de choses 2.0

On a set of school posters that were used to teach botany, zoology and civics, France Cadet makes changes with invisible UV inks, highlighting the rapid changes in our world. Equipped with UV lamps, the audience, like a modern-day explorer, accesses an updated version of these ancient lessons and the resulting paradigm shifts.

She has created a gallery of extinct species, a set of portraits of historical figures who have played against the machine, notably in puzzle games such as chess or the game of Go. Finally, a series of self-portraits of the artist reveals the omnipresence of algorithms. It portrays a hyper-connected society, a world of machine-delegated control, revealing the prowess and setbacks of AI in the service of human surveillance.

The presentation of France Cadet will be accompanied by a "pop up" exhibition.

> Frédéric Deslias, director, composer and digital artist, Norbert Merjagnan, science fiction writer (project supported by La Diagonale Paris-Saclay) // "Towards infinity and beyond ...", around the project #COLONIE.S

Diverting a science fiction cliché to reinvent an ecological fable in which we are the protagonists, #COLONIE.S takes up the narrative logic of the multi-player video game, relying on geolocation devices: wifi, ibeacons beacons and NFC object tags. The protagonists are guided by an A.I. voice assistant and via a user interface developed on a smartphone to discover and perform the story. Inhabiting on another planet, welcoming like an Earth Bis or more hostile like Mars, finding in the cosmos living creatures different from us or a little like us. Inhabiting the Earth, but otherwise: #COLONIE.S is an extraordinary immersive show that changes the way we look at our planet in the light of exobiology and exoplanets.
