Learning During a Pandemic: A Challenge-A-Day

STEAM challenges designed by Carol Bier for her teenage grandchildren, adaptable for other age groups. Since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, this blog has been updated daily! Week 60 (first week of May 2021) will close out the blog now that life is resuming with a new normalcy under development. Keep on observing! Keep up questioning! Many of the challenges may live on to stimulate critical and creative thinking.

In Memoriam: Jean-Pierre Hébert (1939–2021)

PARIS – Jean-Pierre Hébert, one of the leading artists working with computers, died on March 28 at hospital in Santa Barbara after heart failure. He was 81.

Hébert, who was born in Calais, France, had lived on the West Coast of California since the 1980s, when he moved to the United States and became a dual American French citizen.
