Ervin Y. Rodin is Professor of Systems Science and Mathematics, and Director of the Center for Optimization and Semantic Control at Washington University. He is the author and/or coauthor of several books, and is also Editor-in-Chief of three scientific journals, as well as a member of the Editorial Boards of several others - both scientific and relating to the humanities. One of Rodin's principal interests is the study of the connections and the relationships between Mathematics and the varieties of artistic expressions.
