About MCAD:
The Minneapolis College of Art and Design is an independent institution
offering a professionally oriented education for artists and designers.
Beginning with a training in foundation studies, the four-year Bachelor
of Fine Arts degree program integrates liberal arts with studio-based
courses in fine arts, media arts and design. MCAD also offers an
accredited program leading to a Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual
Studies. The curriculum fosters critical thinking, artistic inquiry,
professional responsibility and interdisciplinary dialogue.
With seven computer labs and a student-to-computer ratio of 4:1, MCAD
boasts one of the best college computing facilities in the country and is
the acknowledged leader in the integration and application of
computer-aided approaches to a professional Visual Arts education.
