Felipe César Londoño López is an architect and Doctor of Multimedia Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalunya, in Barcelona, Espaņa.
He is dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities is co-founder of the Department of Visual Design at the Caldas University in Colombia, professor in the areas of Visual Design and Experimental Research in art, design and new media. He is professor participant doctorate in Multimedia Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Catalunya, Spain, coordinator of the Master of Design and New Media that takes place between the University of Caldas, the University of Chile and the National University of Cordoba in Argentina, with the support of MECAD and the UNESCO, and is director of the research group DICOVI - Design and visual cognition and virtual environments.
He is coordinator of the Media Lab Manizales, director of the International Image Festival, curator of Digital Scenarios, a space dedicated to the presentation of Digital Design and Net Art at the Art Museum of Caldas, and curator of the Monographic Show of Media Art, an international call that is presented at the International Image Festival.
He has done the following research: Interaction, public space and new technologies (2003-2007), design and development of multimedia educational materials in higher education (2002-2005), Digital Design (2002-2004), Interfaces of Virtual Communities (2000-2002), Patterns of Color in Caldas. Visual Interpretation of regional color values (1997-2003), The World of Visual Design (1992 - 1997) and Visual Expression in Cities Bahareque (1988 - 1994).
He has published several books, including his doctoral thesis: "Interfaces of Virtual Communities", the research: "Patterns of Color", "DIGITAL DESIGN. Methodology for creating interactive projects, "and" Visual Expression in the Cities of Bahareque".
