The Live Art Archive broadly embraces ephemeral, time-based visual and performing arts events that include a human presence that broaden, challenge of question traditional views of the arts.
The Live Art Archive, based at Nottingham Trent University, U.K., was initiated by the Arts Council of England in 1994 to collate and list extant materials associated with Live Art in the U.K. It currently holds in excess of 50,000 items of information and is regularly expanded and updated. Future plans include the extension of the database to cover activities outside of the U.K.
