Joshua Levy is a student in the MFA program in Integrated Media Arts at Hunter College, City University of New York. His work explores the social nature of technology and its role among immigrant and minority groups. His work includes ãSocial Software for Social Change,ä an essay in wiki form that explores the social and political possibilities of open source software (www.levjoy.com/essaywiki); Pigeon People, an documentary film about urban men and their birds; and The Bronx Blog Project, a video and web project that explores the intersections of technology, immigration, and community by documenting immigrants in the Bronx as they learn how to blog (www.bronxblogproject.org).
