Promote Art Works, Inc., (PAWI) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to Art and Technology. It sponsors 4 main programs: The Laziza Videodance and Lumia Project (LVLP), The Spontaneous Combustion (SpCo) series, "Seed/Root" Assistance Program for Professional Artists (SRAPPA), and Job Readiness and Computer Literacy for students ages 13 - 35. PAWI acts as a linkage between art, education and commerce. PAWI is part of an art incubator site called Video8/Studio9 in Downtown Brooklyn.
The Laziza Videodance and Lumia Project is the interactive art action of William and Kathleen Laziza, with the assistance of dozens of collaborating artists and skilled builders. For the last 18 years, LVLP specialized in avant-garde arts by creating movement theater, video installations, interactive sculptures, outdoor community projects and media presentations for audiences. LVLP has invented over 40 low-tech special-effect instruments for video technology and theatrical lighting. It blends low- and high-tech concepts into kinetic art with surprising success. The 5 core company members maintain 10 theater works ranging from 10 to 45 mins. They have available for display 12 touch-sensitive installations using video, computers, lighting or sound. LVLP is a member of the National Association of Artist Organizations, and Arts and Science Collaboration, Inc.
