Anne-Laure Fayard is  an Assistant Professor of Management at the Polytechnic Institute of New York Institute. Her research interests involve organizational communication, socio-material practices, space, culture and interdisciplinary collaboration. In her endeavor to explore interdisciplinary work and new investigation methods, she collaborated with Aileen Wilson, an artist and an art educator, to design building_space_with_words, an interactive multimedia installation. She also curated a group exhibition, Investigatio, at the Royal College of Art (London) in January 2010, inviting sociologists, designers and artists to explore the question "What is research". Her work has been published in several leading journals such as Organization Studies, the Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, Information System Journal and The European Management Journal.  She earned a BA and an MA in Philosophy from Paris - La Sorbonne, an MA in Cognitive Science from Ecole Polytechnique (Paris) and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from the Ecole des Hautes-Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Paris).
