Mina Bissell is Director of the Life Sciences Division of the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, Berkeley, California. She
lectures extensively on the topics of Experimental Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology and Cancer Research. She
participates on a number of review boards and national committees studying such subjects as Geriatrics and
Gerontology, Genetics and Cancer Research. She is also active on a number of research journal editorial boards.
Ms. Bissell holds a Ph.D in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Harvard University and has been the recipient
of a number of honors, awards and fellowships related to her fields of study.
