ASCENT

1. To have an educational role, improving knowledge of historical and contemporary relations between the disciplines
2. To improve communication and coordination between interested individuals and groups
3. To provide opportunities, by way of meetings, workshops and projects, for discussion and collaboration
4. To improve access of artists to new and refined science, engineeering & technology, and to draw the attention of scientists and engineers to art related to their fields
5. To develop relations with related bodies in the U.K. and similar bodies abroad
6. To lobby for substantial new sources of funding and opportunities for the production and exhibition of relevant work.
