The Leonardo Education and Art Forum (formerly known as the Leonardo Education Forum) will be hosting a panel session at the College Art Association Conference in Chicago, IL, Saturday, February 13, 2010, from 12:30 pm – 2 pm. The panel, titled "Migratory Structures: Scientific Imagery and Contemporary Art Practice," will feature presentations by Marlena Novak, Jay Alan Yim, Jean-Pierre Hebert, Diane Gromala, Jack Ox and Hannah Higgins. Call for Submissions:
Arts, Humanities and Complex Networks

Leonardo/ISAST is seeking submissions for "Arts | Humanities | Complex Networks" - a satellite symposium scheduled to take place in conjunction with the NetSci 2010 conference on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Barabási Lab, Center for Complex Network Research, Northeastern University in Boston, MA. In addition to already-scheduled keynotes, we are looking for ten 15-minute presentations in order to cover a large territory around arts, humanities and complex networks. Selected original papers will be published in the Leonardo Journal. Proceedings will be published online. Deadline for applications is January 22, 2010. Find out more

Call for Submissions:
SIGGRAPH 2010 Art Papers and Art Gallery

Last Call: SIGGRAPH 2010, in collaboration with Leonardo/ISAST, seeks papers that illuminate and explore how people understand the changing roles of artists and art-making in our increasingly networked, multi-sensory, online world. Accepted papers will be featured in a special issue of Leonardo that will be published in conjunction with the SIGGRAPH 2010 conference. SIGGRAPH is also looking for exceptional works of art, completed in the last two years, by artists who physically engage technology in their creative process. The aim is to gather a compelling and varied group of creative projects that relate to the SIGGRAPH 2010 Art Gallery theme, "TouchPoint: The Haptic Exchange Between Digits." FRANCOLABS Art, Science, Technology Thesis Abstracts in French

The Leonardo LABS project, international database of thesis abstracts in the art/science/technology field, is pleased to announce a new call for Ph.D. abstracts for consideration by the FRANCOLABS peer review committee. Authors of abstracts that are the most highly rated by the peer review committee will be invited to submit texts for publication in Leonardo Journal on their thesis work.
